Easy grilled asparagus

PREP: 20 MINUTES. MAKES 4 SERVINGS

Ingredients

1½–2 pounds asparagus

1–2 tablespoons good-quality olive oil or melted butter

Preparing the Ingredients.

Heat a Griddle for hot direct

Grilling.

Make sure the grates are clean. Cut the tough bottoms from the asparagus. If they’re thick, trim the ends with a vegetable peeler. Toss with the oil and sprinkle with salt.

Place the asparagus on the grill directly, perpendicular to the grates so they don’t fall through. Cook turning once, until the thick part of the stalks can barely be pierced with a skewer or thin knife, 5 to 10 minutes total. Transfer to a platter and serve.
